Tuberous breast deformity is a congenital abnormality that manifests during property. A constricting ring at the base of the breast prevents it from expanding normally, resulting in a “tuberous” appearance. Other characteristics include:
Breast hypoplasia (less breast tissue), higher inframammary fold, Enlarged areola with Herniation of breast tissue into the areola and Breast asymmetry.
Tuberous breasts cause significant distress to the ladies who suffer this. It needs better understanding and expertise from the surgeon who offer such treatments. Through my extensive expertise and passion about supporting ladies who suffer tuberous breasts, I am able to analyse and advise the best approach and surgical management. The techniques usually entail lowering the fold, release of the constriction bands and reshaping the breast by a form of mastopexy, as well as replacing the missing volume by breast implants and/or fat (lipomodelling)
